Ginte Zacharini - “Sitges has truly been such an inspiration for me. Originally, I am from Druskininkai, a town in Lithuania, that is famous for being home, just like Sitges, for world class artists, musicians, and growing talent which is why Sitges made me feel immediately at home.”
Discover the work and approach of an artist Ginte Zacharini at Sitges this December hosted by Altamar Restaurant.
Formerly a business entrepreneur, cupcake mogul, now a mother of two living in the sunshine, fascinated by the human brain, inspired to share positivity and thus balance the world through a medium of art.
Lithuanian artist started her career in line with her move to live in Sitges in early 2019. Ginte uses painting and drawing as means to offer a moment to pause, think, dream, plan, inhale and resurface. Her art is available globally and is currently targeting Spain, United Kingdom and Lithuania.
“Sitges has truly been such an inspiration for me. Originally, I am from Druskininkai, a town in Lithuania, that is famous for being home, just like Sitges, for world class artists, musicians, and growing talent which is why Sitges made me feel immediately at home.”
Her current exhibition “Inspiring personalities” features series of works that have been influenced by entrepreneurs and sportsmen. “Make no mistake” says Ginte “the competition within the ranks of business is just as fierce as on a field.”
One of the most relevant pieces from the collection to todays business digitalisation affairs is “Crypto Boy” that highlights the era of protection of privacy, political and economical freedom.
Each of the mixed media pieces are unique: a mix of large and small canvas that are colourful, vibrant abstracts that are rich in layers and textures.
“Today, in the globalised world where boundaries between countries are disappearing, I feel that the boundary between art and business (or business and art) is also almost non existent and that excited me. I have chosen to showcase my work in a Restaurant to stress the fact that art is part of the daily life, it is accessible and enhance the experience and environment that we are in. Art has no boundaries!”
The artist also explains that this exhibition is a real milestone that will show if Sitges community sympathises with Ginte’s belief that her art is meant to be interpreted very individually and symbolise aspirations as well as their personal goals to each and everyone in public.
Art has been gifted for generations and quite rightly, Zacharini is expecting to sell most of the exhibition pieces as well as get some private orders as Christmas gifting season is approaching rapidly.
The artist hints that she is looking to experiment with different forms of art in the near future and share the results with art lovers very soon. Stay tuned @GinteZacharini www.Zacharini.com
